  • Do I sit at a computer for long periods of time?
  • Do I have carpal tunnel syndrome?
  • Do I feel tension and stress in my back, shoulders or neck?

If you answered "YES" to any of the above,
then Bikram Yoga is for you!

When most people think of yoga, images of chanting and people maneuvering into seemingly impossible positions come to mind. Yoga is not just for the fantastically flexible. In fact, if you are not flexible, if you cannot touch your toes, you are a perfect candidate for the benefits of yoga.

Benefits:

  • Reduces stress
  • Increases vitality, energy, relaxation
  • Increases blood circulation
  • Keeps joints juicy, increases muscle strength around joints to support under pressure
  • Improves strength and flexibility which reduces the risk of injury, or re-injury
  • Improves immunity (i.e. getting sick less often, if at all)
  • Can reduce the symptoms of many chronic diseases (e.g. arthritis and thyroid disorders)
  • A sense of well being that spreads into your daily life.

Before your first class:

  • Be very well hydrated. Nutritionists tell us that we need 64-80 ounces of water a day to help the body function properly. To prepare for Bikram Yoga class, drink twice that amount during the day. In the heated room, your body needs adequate fund of water to allow perspiration to release heat from the body as you practice.
  • Do not eat 2-3 hours before class. In the morning, just a few cashews and a wege
  • Wear something light and fitted such as: sport bras, shorts, swimwear (we sell yoga clothes). Avoid sweats, long pants, heavy t-shirts, as we heat the room.
  • Bring water.
  • Bring a mat.
  • Bring one or two large towels.

We rent mats and towels and sell water.

After class:

  • Cool down.
  • Drink plenty of water.
  • Come back the next day, even if you're sore.

Once you are in the yoga room, please:

  • no shoes
  • no gum
  • no pagers or cell phones
  • no perfume or cologne
  • no body lotion
  • no excess jewelry or watches
